Round 3 win vs Dingoes
// October 25th, 2011 // No Comments » // Uncategorized
The A’s had a very hard fight versus the Dingoes on the weekend which ended in a convincing win. Overall there was a lack of discipline on the Dingoes side with which our A’s did well to keep relatively cool. At times it was trying to just play floorball with those hounds snapping at our heels and pushing us around, and to our surprise we obtained a 5 minute personal penalty (Oli Diffen, third period) and they didn’t [wth?].
The highlights of the match included
- The scoring started early in the match at 5 mins (goal Oskar, assist Lucass)
- A short handed goal in the 35th minute to Pat Baster, assisted by #7 Morgan Emms
- Defender Morgan Emms was on the receiving end of some Dingo-slobber when Dingoe’s #42 go a little hot under the collar in the house.
- Another short handed goal to Pat Baster in the 57th minute, this time assisted by #91 goalie Jake Stanley
The game was frustrating to watch at times, but all in all it was a good solid win for the A’s with a complete shut-out by goalkeeper Jake Stanley and his defence (11-0).
Oli characterises the shock all of us felt when Oskar was sent off for 2 minutes.
